The shift is 3x12 nights from 18:45 to 07:15. The average daily census is 21 patients. First-timers are accepted for this position. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. The clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary. Candidates must have an active state license or be in the application process. There are ideally no more than 5 days of RTO allowed. Candidates may be called off up to 36 hours without pay during the assignment. If more hours than permitted are canceled, compensation will be required. Floating may include both within the hospital and to nearby facilities. Candidates should be open to accommodating a block schedule. Isolated precautions knowledge is required for this position. Additional unit information includes support from various interdisciplinary services. Patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics. The unit specializes in diagnoses such as gastrointestinal bleed, bowel obstruction, and alcohol withdrawal among others. Required skills include TPN administration and tube feedings. Travelers must complete necessary compliance requirements in a timely manner. This includes completing all assigned modules prior to starting the position. Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays during their assignment.
