Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: PICC line management and experience starting IVs are required. Must be willing to take trach and laryngectomy patients. Willingness to take up to a 1:7 patient ratio if needed. Description: Position available for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. Shift is 3x12 hour days (06:45 - 19:15). Minimum of 2 years of experience is required. First-timers are accepted. Weekend work is required every other weekend. If requested time off falls on a weekend, the traveler will be scheduled per rotation. Additional weekends may be scheduled to make up for any time away. Experience with trach and laryngectomy patients is not required but willingness to learn is essential. PICC line management and starting IVs experience is a must. Cerner experience is preferred. Floater responsibilities may be required to meet facility needs. RTO requests will be reviewed based on the unit's schedule. Only one winter holiday can be requested off. The client may call off up to 36 hours during the assignment without financial compensation. Any additional cancellations will be billed. Candidates will perform dressing changes, drain removals, and other tasks as needed. Special equipment includes continuous pulse oximetry, intravenous infusion pumps, and wound vacs. All essential modules must be completed within designated timelines. The first day includes virtual orientation and assigned modules need to be completed by the deadline.
