- RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
- Must be aware that this unit requires frequent patient turning, approximately 10-12 times a day.
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical unit.
The unit has a total of 31 beds.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:5-6, with plans to move to 1:4 soon.
Charge nurses are present on each shift.
House supervisor is in-house 24/7.
There are 3-4 nurse aides available for patient care.
Respiratory Therapy is available in-house 24/7.
No ventilators are present on this unit.
Telemetry monitoring is available with monitor techs.
Weekend rotation is every other week.
Holidays may be required.
Dress code includes royal blue scrubs.
Charting is performed using the EPIC system.
This position involves working in an acute care setting.
