TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; additional certifications preferred Must-Have: - Must be willing to work with a variety of staff - Must be able to handle patient surges and increased patient ratios - Must have excellent prioritization skills and customer service Description: Holiday coverage is required; no holiday requests for time off will be approved. A local rate applies to candidates within 50 miles of the facility. Preferred experience in travel nursing; may consider candidates with significant permanent experience. The unit focuses on rapid admitting and discharging of patients. The staffing ratio during nights is 1:6. The unit is aimed at constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge. RNs will be first to float to other medical surgical units as needed. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The unit sees a good mix of medical patients and has a target staffing ratio of 1:5-6 for nights. Ratios may flex to 8 patients but nursing staff will be supported by licensed practical nurses in these instances. Staff may include registered nurses, technicians, and other support staff. Managing and supporting patient care includes a focus on conditions such as chronic heart failure and other medical complications. Interdisciplinary support is available from various departments including therapy, pharmacy, and social services. This position is ideal for experienced travel registered nurses who enjoy a busy and dynamic environment. Candidates should be able to prioritize throughput alongside patient experience.
