Experience in rapid patient turnover units is preferred. The unit focuses on constant reassessment of readiness for discharge. This unit will have rapid patient admissions and discharges. Staffing ratios are 1:6 at night and may flex to 8 with LPN support. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. The daily census averages 12. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and social services. Patient diagnoses include chronic heart failure and respiratory issues. The ideal candidate must have strong prioritization skills and customer service abilities. Must handle patient surges and increased patient ratios. Floating to other medical-surgical areas is required. References must be from a supervisory level. Proof of flu vaccination is required for submission. If seeking vaccination exemption, it must be submitted within the designated time.
