Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Performs the Nursing Process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care. Partners with patients and significant others, using appropriate methods for communication and updates on their care. Practices using current clinical standards. Completes initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education. Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce.
