Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours. Weekend requirement: 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule. No on-call requirement. Nurse/patient ratio is 6:1. EMR used: Epic. Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs. The competent nurse practices independently in a similar clinical setting. Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care with the ability to set long-range goals. Continues to develop the ability to manage clinical contingencies. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage the clinical situation. Administers medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers while identifying issues and resources.
