All holiday time off will be determined onsite. Candidates living within a certain distance from the facility are eligible for local rate. The unit is focused on rapid admission and discharge of patients. Staffing ratio during the night shift is typically 1:6. Weekend work is a requirement, with expectations of rotating shifts. Nurses will manage a diverse mix of medical patients. Candidates must have experience with patient care and demonstrate excellent prioritization skills. The unit operates with a patient-centric approach to care and respects ongoing assessment of patient readiness for discharge. Interdisciplinary support will be available in the unit including therapy and social services. Candidates must possess skills in managing various medical equipment and treatments as needed. Rapid response and care coordination experience is beneficial. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and busy work environment with increased patient turnover. Floating to other units occurs approximately once per week based on the needs of the facility. Must adhere to applicable health and safety regulations, including vaccination mandates. References from previous supervisors are required.
