Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Travel experience highly preferred Must be willing to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs Floating to other medical/surgical units may be required Description: Manager approval for time off during holidays is not granted at this time. All holiday time off will be determined onsite. Candidates living within a certain distance from the facility are eligible for local rate. The unit is focused on rapid admission and discharge of patients. Staffing ratio during the night shift is typically 1:6. Weekend work is a requirement, with expectations of rotating shifts. Nurses will manage a diverse mix of medical patients. Candidates must have experience with patient care and demonstrate excellent prioritization skills. The unit operates with a patient-centric approach to care and respects ongoing assessment of patient readiness for discharge. Interdisciplinary support will be available in the unit including therapy and social services. Candidates must possess skills in managing various medical equipment and treatments as needed. Rapid response and care coordination experience is beneficial. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and busy work environment with increased patient turnover. Floating to other units occurs approximately once per week based on the needs of the facility. Must adhere to applicable health and safety regulations, including vaccination mandates. References from previous supervisors are required.
