Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: NIH and Swallow Screen preferred Must-Have: Competent in dysrhythmia Description: Travelers must have their clearance prior to start. The facility is a tertiary care regional referral hospital known for clinical excellence and nationally recognized patient outcomes. It offers specialized services including a regional Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 3 Regional Intensive Care Nursery. The facility provides a wide range of specialties including Cardiology, Critical Care, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and more. All candidates must have complete and clear screenings. Candidates must be competent in dysrhythmia. They will take a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on the first day. A study guide will be provided along with the welcome packet via email. Candidates must be available for holidays as decided during the phone screening. The unit has 22 beds with patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1. Equipment includes vital sign machines and cardiac monitors. Electronic Health Records are utilized. The patient population primarily consists of adults. Common diagnoses and treatments include CVA, TIA, inability to ambulate, seizure, and respiratory issues. Personality fit will be assessed during the phone screening. All necessary facility education will be provided during the orientation period. Dress code requires scrubs, with no hoodies or shirts with wording/pictures allowed.
