Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical-Surgical/Orthopedic unit with patient ratios of 1:5 with CNA support, or 1:4 primary care as staffing requires
- Float to the ED or ICU as needed to care for medical hold patients only
- Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Adapt to changing unit conditions and staffing needs while maintaining a high standard of care
Required Qualifications- Active Illinois RN License (no pending licenses or temporary licenses accepted)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
- Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a Med-Surg/Orthopedic setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong adaptability and resilience when managing change or variable staffing situations
