Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years Med Surg experience required License: Active Michigan RN License Certifications: - BLS (American Heart Association) - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - Work history in the relevant specialty - Skills checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty - Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years Description: This position performs a variety of integrated functions using the nursing process. The nurse applies a broad nursing knowledge in a caring and concerned manner. Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care. Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborates with other team members to update and revise the plans as necessary. Processes physician orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications. Holiday and weekend shifts are a requirement, with a minimum of three weekend shifts per four-week schedule period.
