Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical (General Medical Inpatient) Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience License: State license or multistate license required Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: - Immunity status of Hep B, MMR, & Varicella - TDaP vaccine, Influenza vaccine, or exemption request during flu season - TB documentation Description: The role involves providing safe, high-quality patient care in a collaborative team environment. Nurses will care for general medical patients with a variety of diagnoses. These may include respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal conditions, and more. Nurses will also manage patients undergoing dialysis, as well as those with infections such as sepsis. The unit has a staffing ratio of 1:6. Visible tattoos are permitted if they are appropriate for a professional setting. Facial and ear piercings are acceptable if they do not interfere with job duties. This position requires proficiency in the Epic charting system. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
