Ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Nurses are not required to titrate drips. There are no charge nurses or house supervisors on this unit. Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1:15. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and hi-flow. Telemetry monitoring is available, with monitor techs reading, and RNs confirming. Staffing requires floating as needed. Weekend shifts are every other week. Holiday shifts are required every other. There is a standby requirement. Any scrub color is permitted. The charting system used is EPIC. Nurses will complete a unit-specific float checklist.
