- Experience with surgical patients including total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, and general surgery.
- Experience with medical patients such as CHF, CVA, shortness of breath, and diabetic issues.
- Ability to titrate drips is not required.
- Familiarity with monitoring strips, confirming readings, and utilizing equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and hi-flow oxygen.
Description:
This position involves working on a Medical Surgical Float unit.
The unit has a total of 61 combined beds.
The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during the night.
There may be a call or standby requirement.
Weekend and holiday work is required every other time.
Floating to different units is a requirement of this role.
Scrub color is flexible, with any color permitted.
The charting system used is EPIC.
This is an acute care setting focused on providing high-quality patient care.
