Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations on a Medical Surgical unit
Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 in a 12-bed unit setting
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EHR
Work every other weekend or as needed per unit scheduling requirements
May float to other Med Surg units as operational needs require
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure valid in the state of Tennessee (or compact eligibility)
ACLS certification required prior to start
BLS certification required prior to start
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required prior to start
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting
Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date - results required before start
Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
2+ years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting
Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records
Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
