Description: This is a travel RN position in the Med/Surg specialty. The unit has a focus on oncology care and general surgery. There are 24 beds with a staffing of 19 members, including 6 new nurses onboarding. During the day shift, the unit operates with 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and an Admin Care Technician, while the night shift consists of 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses when full. Patient ratios are approximately 1 nurse for every 5 patients. The EMR system used is Meditech. Chemotherapy can only be administered by chemo-certified nurses.
