Must-Have: Recent hospital experience within the past 5 years required.
Must be flexible and willing to float to different units including Medical Care, Post Surgical, and Intermediate Care/PCU.
Description:
Float RN will be required to float to the medical care unit, post surgical unit, and intermediate care unit.
Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the nursing process will be applied to the care of patients.
The role includes teaching patients and their significant others.
Documenting patient care in the medical record is essential.
Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team is necessary to effectively coordinate overall patient care.
The candidate must be flexible, able to prioritize, and adapt to rapidly changing patient and unit needs.
Demonstration of effective teaching skills is required.
The individual must respond effectively to patient crisis or emergency situations.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location is necessary.
Flexibility in accepting assignments to varied areas with a friendly and helpful attitude is expected.
