Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred, open to first-time travelers License: State or multistate license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (all AHA) Must-Have: Previous travel experience preferred Description: RN needed for night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. The professional is expected to work in both emergency and medical surgical units. The work may involve a variety of patients and situations as they present. It is essential for the RN to communicate clearly about the expectations of the shifts. There are no mileage restrictions for this position. The nurse-to-patient ratio will be at most 5:1, but usually remains around 1:3. The unit utilizes licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. The floor staff will typically consist of two nurses, one aide, and one staff secretary. COVID vaccine exemptions are accepted, while flu vaccination is not required. All candidates must meet the certification requirements. This position involves floating to different areas as needed. Shifts may be canceled by the client with appropriate notice. Cancellations after the shift has started will result in payment for hours worked or a minimum of two hours.
