Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN - Med/Surg Specialty: RN - Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift - 3x12's Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: EPIC experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred - AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification required Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining patient outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the team of the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
