Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans; evaluate and document progress toward patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote a safe, healing, and caring environment
  • Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff, delegating duties appropriately and coordinating care across disciplines
  • Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - required
  • Minimum of two years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
  • Ability to float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry units
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in an acute care facility setting
  • Telemetry nursing experience
