Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, care issues, and develop individualized care plans
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote a safe, healing, and caring environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provide health education to patients and families
• Supervise and delegate duties to healthcare team members, including various levels of nursing staff; ability to float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry units is required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
• Minimum of two years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or related acute care setting
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience in a Magnet-designated facility
• Background in Telemetry nursing
