Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 37-bed Medical Surgical unit serving trauma, oncology, and general med/surg patient populations
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5/6 on night shifts
• Administer and monitor set-rate drips including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives; titration of drips is not required
• Demonstrate competency in reading telemetry strips using Phillips Telemetry monitoring system (centrally monitored off the unit)
• Self-schedule shifts including a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule cycle in alignment with unit staffing plans
• Fulfill holiday requirements and float within Zone 3 as determined by department needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience
• Competency in telemetry strip reading
• Must be present in state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license must be submitted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with trauma or oncology patient populations
• Familiarity with Phillips Telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience with self-scheduling and block scheduling environments
