Job Summary
United Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Med Surg for a 13-week contract assignment in Federal Way, Washington.
The ideal candidate will have strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience and be comfortable caring for patients with a variety of medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced RN looking for a rewarding contract assignment with a consistent night-shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients.
- Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and medications.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Assist with procedures and other clinical interventions as required.
- Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Follow infection control procedures and patient safety standards.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Previous travel or contract nursing experience is preferred.
- Ability to work Night Shift and a 3x12 schedule
