Job Summary
Join our dedicated nursing team as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Zanesville, Ohio. This role primarily supports the 3 West Comprehensive Medical Unit, providing high-quality patient care to a diverse adult population.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and adaptability, as occasional floating to other specialized Medical-Surgical units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation, will be required. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, utilizing your expertise across various patient acuities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the 3 West Comprehensive Medical Unit.
- Float as needed to other Medical-Surgical specialty units, such as Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation.
- Monitor, assess, and interpret patient telemetry readings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Document patient care, observations, and interventions accurately and timely within the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of three (3) years of current and recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown units.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
- Current and proven proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system; no refresher courses or 1:1 training will be provided.

Shift Details
- Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Shift Type: 12-hour AM (Day) shifts.
- Days per Week: 3 days.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.
- Call Requirement: No call required.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks.
- Start Date: September 21, 2026.
Licensing Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
