Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Direct Observation Unit (DOU) / Step Down setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in the medical record
- Maintain availability to work weekend shifts as required
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
- Experience in a Step Down, DOU, or Medical-Surgical setting
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts beginning at 7:00 AM
- Must be available to work weekends
- Ability to commit to a 26-week per diem contract
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a high-acuity or intermediate care unit
- Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessment skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
