Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. Job Qualifications: Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Licensure/Certification: Valid license to practice in the Client; CPR required. Experience: Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred. Documents the nursing process accurately and legibly. Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status. Administers medications and performs treatments accurately and safely. Implements physician orders as written. Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care. Psychological/Mental Demands: Requires ability to manage emotions and exercise self-control in the workplace. Must be able to handle urgent situations calmly and communicate empathetically with patients. Supervises and directs the work of nursing assistants in a professional manner. May experience stress related to time management and working with individuals in distress. Physiological Exposure: Potential exposures include electrical equipment. Cognitive Demands: Requires intact cognitive function in attention, memory, perception, and thought. Ability to prioritize multiple work tasks efficiently. Keen observation and accurate reporting skills are essential. Strong organization, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills are needed.
