Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 20 private

· Patient Ratios : 4:1 total patient care, 5:1 w/ a patient care tech

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 tech usually 4-5 nurses on the floor

· Type of equipment : Alaris IV Pumps, CADD epidural, Alaris PCA, Pyxis Medication Dispensing Machine, telemetry, EKG, bladder scanner, wound vacs, capnostream machines, SCD Pumps

· Documentation system: Medi tech

· Scheduling requirements: Every 3 rd weekend, two Mondays and Fridays per 4 week scheduling period

· On Call Requirements:

· Floating policy: To like medical/surgical/telemetry units including ortho neuro center, med/tele, 4N, CDU Patient Experience requirements: high paced unit

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: Center of Excellence in Colorectal and Robotics, MBSAQIP certified in Bariatric surgery
