Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN - Med/Surg Specialty: RN - Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours/week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required Must-Have: - Epic experience - Ability to float between Med/Surg and Telemetry Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team, patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and their family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
