Job Title: Inpatient Care Med Surg RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours (23:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Active state license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with charting systems, patient care management, and medical-surgical skills. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical surgical specialty. The nurse will work night shifts, providing care for adult and geriatric patients. They will be responsible for managing patient care, including critical procedures such as administering medications and operating medical equipment. The nurse will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care needs. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Floating to other units may be necessary as needed, based on the scope of practice. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Experience with charting systems, specifically Meditech, is preferred but training will be provided. This role requires adhering to safety and infection control protocols while delivering compassionate care. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage a patient load effectively and maintain quality standards. Additional responsibilities may include patient education, participation in rapid response teams, and collaboration with various healthcare professionals.
