Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed orthopedic unit with a night shift ratio of 6:1 (7:1 stretch)
  • Perform dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter insertion and care, NG tube management, and wound vac maintenance and removal
  • Operate and monitor unit equipment including CPM machines, bladder scanners, sky lifts, Sara Steady, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, hover mats, and Bair Huggers
  • Document and manage patient care using Cerner EMR
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary night shift team including a charge RN, LPNs, PCTs, and a HUC
  • Float to other Med-Surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active North Carolina RN License
  • BLS Certification (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and function as a strong team player
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior hospital-based nursing experience
  • Orthopedic nursing experience
