Night shifts have 2-3 PCTs available for support. Types of equipment used in the unit include Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Telehealth, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include working every other weekend (Saturday, Sunday) with flexible weekdays. There is a PRN floating policy, commonly floating among Medical-Surgical units. Patient experience protocols include BSSR and hourly rounding. Advanced skills required include IV and Foley catheter placement. Dress code mandates the wearing of black or royal blue scrubs.
