Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills Advanced skills in Medical-Surgical nursing Description: This position involves providing care in a medical-surgical unit with a total of 30 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. Staffing includes clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, patient care technicians, and case management professionals. The unit is equipped with walkers, IV pumps, SCDs, and other necessary equipment. Documentation is completed using an electronic health record system. Work scheduling requires the completion of 4 weekend shifts within a 28-day period and includes participation in holiday rotation. Floating to other units may be required according to staff rotation policies. Patient experience goals must be met, targeting a satisfaction percentage of 72%. Candidates should have experience in managing various respiratory diseases, renal diseases, GI illnesses, tele monitoring, intravenous lines, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Additional unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided upon hiring. Prospective candidates should be aware of the supportive and collaborative environment of the nursing team. This unit may also feature new equipment and technology, enhancing the patient care experience.
