If chosen, an offer will be extended on behalf of the facility. Candidates must submit a driver's license for verification. Nurses are expected to be present in-state for the orientation week. The unit has a total of 37 beds. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5 during days and 1:5 to 1:6 during nights. Moderate oxygen needs are expected. Nurses will be required to read telemetry strips using Philips telemetry equipment. Charge nurses do not take an assignment. Nurse aides are available, with a ratio of 1:12. Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed. Full-time and part-time staff are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts every six weeks. Holiday coverage is required. Call or standby requirements will be determined by the nursing management. Floating may occur based on departmental needs. Scrub color required is navy blue. Specific orientation details will be provided during the orientation week. The facility may cancel up to four shifts for a 13-week assignment. EPIC is the charting system used within the facility. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required for this position. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory. This position is part of an acute care setting.
