Description:
Hiring process involves a candidate interview.
Interview will be conducted with the clinical team.
No unit manager involvement in the interview process.
Candidates must be within a specified travel radius.
Security is in-house 24/7 and housed in the emergency department.
On average, more than 10 patients are treated in the emergency department daily.
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4.
Both registered nurses and phlebotomy staff can draw labs.
Shift-dependent duties may vary for nurse aids and patient sitters.
Respiratory therapy is available in the emergency department 24/7.
Registered nurses are required to troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
Registered nurses may need to read their own telemetry strips.
Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed for shifts.
All staff are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week schedule.
Holiday requirements are also applicable.
Floating requirements are determined by the nursing manager.
Navy blue scrubs are the required dress code.
Cancelation policy allows for shifts to be canceled under specific conditions.
Charting is done using an electronic health record system.
