Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Every third weekend (8 shifts per 13-week contract). Self-scheduling model.

Highlights:

  • 12-bed unit with average daily census of 8 patients, managing typical med/surg and telemetry cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, providing manageable workloads for quality patient care
  • Patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, diabetes, infectious diseases, rehab, and telemetry monitoring
  • 13-week contract available with 24-36 hours of unit orientation
  • First-time travelers welcome; local candidates approved at competitive rates
  • Float as needed within facility; minimal on-call requirements (low census days only)

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS and NIHSS certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with blood product administration, IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line management
  • Knowledge of CVA care, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE
  • Preferred skills: IV insulin protocols, heparin administration, cardiac drips management (no titration), BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, wound care/wound vac
  • Community hospital experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must complete 8-10 hours of pre-start modules online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

Important Notes:

  • RTO requests after booking are not permitted and cannot be worked out onsite
  • Up to 7 days RTO may be pre-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • No RTO allowed during first week of assignment
  • Call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation
  • Interview required prior to offer; please provide availability for next 72 hours when applying
  • All compliance testing must be completed within 48 hours after signing
  • Former employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required at submission
  • Navy blue scrubs required
