Description:
Strict 75-mile radius from the address on the traveler's driver's license to the hospital.
Please ensure the driver’s license is included in the submission email.
Ratios are typically 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights.
The unit has 44 beds and 40 staff members.
Nurse aides are available, with a typical ratio of 1:8, generally 1:10.
Shifts begin between 6:45 and 7:15 PM.
Weekend work is required every other week.
Holidays are as needed.
Scrub color is Caribbean Blue.
Telemetry is monitored on a different unit.
Floating may occur to all acute care and cardio to care for medical patients.
General orientation lasts 1 week and includes EMR training.
Floor-specific orientation is 2 days.
The facility is located in an area with a population of approximately 80,000.
It is situated 175 miles from a major city and is near several beaches.
Housing options were previously evaluated and found to be gated, safe, and clean.
In the area, there are hotels with reasonable rates available if mentioned as a contractor.
Cancellation policy requires 12 hours' notice every 2 weeks.
Charting is done using a specific electronic medical record system.
BSN is not required.
This is a trauma care setting.
The position falls under the nursing division.
Shift notes pertain to a night schedule.
Required certifications include BLS (AHA) and NIHSS.
