Traveler must work at least one major holiday, such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Year’s Day. Description: The position is for a General Medicine Med-Surg RN. Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The patient population includes a mix of medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Common conditions treated in this unit include GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-fib, hypertension, and sepsis. Ancillary support is available, including phlebotomy, EKG techs, certified nursing assistants, and a supply room for necessary equipment. Travelers may float to different locations as needed. Cerner experience is preferred. All team members are expected to contribute to a supportive culture, especially when interacting with students and new hires.
