# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical – Tennessee
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday); weekdays flexible. Day shift patient ratios 5-6:1; night shift ratios 6:1.
Highlights:- 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit with comprehensive support staff including unit secretaries and 2-3 patient care technicians per shift
- Advanced equipment including Sara Steady lifts, wound vac therapy, telehealth technology, virtual sitter equipment, and remote telemetry monitoring
- Meditech electronic medical record system for streamlined documentation
- PRN floating policy, primarily within medical-surgical units when needed
- Opportunities to perform clinical procedures including IV and Foley catheter placement
- Two positions available for qualified candidates
Requirements:- Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain)
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale and CPI certifications preferred
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems required
- Commitment to patient experience standards including bedside shift report and hourly rounding
