# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) – Tennessee**Start Date:** October 12, 2026 **Location:** Nashville, Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Three 12-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule**Highlights:** - 34-bed Post-Op Medical/Surgical unit with 6:1 patient ratio- Tech support available on day and night shifts; unit secretary coverage 7am-7pm- Meditech documentation system with comprehensive equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology- Facility certifications include Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center- Patient-centered care approach with bedside shift report and family involvement in care planning- Floating policy prioritizes contract labor first, followed by rotation system**Requirements:** - Active RN license in good standing- BLS certification required- Med/Surg experience preferred- Proficiency in IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes- Strong ability to prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment- Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to provide compassionate post-operative care in a highly accredited facility with robust support systems and modern medical technology.
