**Join Our Dynamic Team as a Med-Surg RN!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Med-Surg
- **Location:** Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Russellville, AR
- **Shift:** 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- **Openings:** 1
- **Weekend Requirement:** Every Other Weekend (EOW) at a minimum; less is a bonus
- **Call Requirements:** Low census may lead to call, typically no more than once a month
**Unit Information:**
- **Department/Cost Center:** Med Surg 610
- **Patient Ratios:** 6-7 patients per nurse
- **Equipment:** Standard Med-Surg instrumentation
- **EHR:** Meditech
- **Patient Population:** Adults and Geriatrics
**Role Responsibilities:**
- Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Identify actual and potential patient needs and develop a prioritized plan of care.
- Supervise and assign duties to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Unit Coordinators based on acuity and proficiency.
- Respond appropriately to emergency and life-threatening situations.
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and educational needs.
- Administer medications and treatments including IV medications, blood products, and chemotherapy.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety policies.
- Follow and evaluate physician orders to ensure proper patient care.
**Qualifications:**
- **Required:** Current state RN license
- **Experience:** 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
- **Certifications:** CPR
