Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel- Time management and efficiency in a fast-paced unit
- Team collaboration
- Maintenance of post-op surgical procedure sites
- Wound care, including wound vac maintenance and dressing changes
- Foley Catheter care - continuous bladder irrigation
- Ostomy appliance changes and maintenance
- Nasogastric tube insertion and suction
- Administering TPN and blood
- Central line care and dressing changes
- Conducting bedside shift reports
Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel- BLS certification
- Experience in post-op surgical areas preferred
- Proficient in Meditech EMR
