A valid state or compact nursing license is required before starting. Candidates must have certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and either CMSRN or RN-BC. Travel experience is a requirement for this position. Experience with the preferred charting system is also desired. This role involves working with a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Additional skills required include managing ports, bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, and chest tube management. Candidates should be adept in intravenous and phlebotomy practices, and proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
