Description:
This is a Medical Surgical Trauma unit with 33 beds and a staffing of 55.
Patient ratios are 5 to 6 patients per nurse.
The unit is equipped with EKG machines, code carts, vascular Dopplers, wound vacs, Cultura Link interpreting services, and Carescape monitors for rhythm monitoring at the bedside.
Typical procedures performed on this unit include small incisions and drainages and peritoneal dialysis.
Thoracentesis may be performed, though it is not very frequent.
The ideal candidate will have excellent patient focus and experience in Medical Surgical care.
The work environment values high energy and a positive attitude.
The dress code requires navy scrubs, and no cotton jackets are permitted.
