Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,946 per week in Atlanta, GA

You'll be part of a dedicated team providing critical care to patients with complex medical and traumatic injuries, supported by a comprehensive staffing model that includes nursing assistants, phlebotomists, and administrative support to help you deliver excellent patient outcomes. High-acuity surgical trauma floor with complex patient population including surgical cases, trauma victims, and patients with spinal cord injuries.

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Surgical Trauma – Georgia

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Schedule: Assigned shifts based on facility needs; no block scheduling available. 5:1 patient ratio with nursing support technicians, phlebotomists, and unit secretary support during night shifts.

Highlights:

• High-acuity surgical trauma floor with complex patient population including surgical cases, trauma victims, and patients with spinal cord injuries
• Collaborative care environment with dedicated support staff including nursing techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries
• Standardized nurse handoff process between ED and admitting unit to ensure seamless care transitions
• EPIC EMR system utilized across the facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in surgical or trauma specialty nursing
• No time off requests available during contract period

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license or compact state license with ability to practice in Georgia
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical or trauma nursing specialty
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system required
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts as scheduled by the facility
