Description:
The Registered Nurse will work in an inpatient rehabilitation and medical-surgical setting.
The position requires charting experience in EPIC.
The shift schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care with a typical ratio of 1:6, which may flex up to 1:7 in certain situations.
Common patient diagnoses include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputee care, and multi-trauma.
The unit has a total of 33 beds and does not provide telemetry services.
All nurses may be required to float to other medical-surgical units if needed.
The role mandates that the nurse work one holiday during the contract period.
The facility allows for the cancellation of one shift every two weeks.
Preference will be given to candidates with charge nurse experience.
Candidates must be willing to comply with required vaccination policies.
Travelers should be aware that compliance documents are due prior to the start of the assignment.
Each candidate must provide time off requests upfront with their application.
Local candidates who reside within 100 miles of the facility will not be accepted.
Previous employees must wait a minimum of one year before returning as travelers.
Travelers who have worked in the facility within the past year are not eligible for rehire.
Modules for orientation can be completed prior to the start of the assignment but will not be billable if completed within the first 24 hours.
