Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour contracts available; every other weekend required; float as needed; holiday coverage required

Requirements:

  • Current RN license (North Carolina or valid Compact state license)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
  • Med/Surg, MS/Tele, or Telemetry experience preferred
  • Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Ability to work during emergency situations including storm response teams

Clinical Focus:

  • Patient diagnoses include dementia, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fractures, CHF, UTI, surgical recovery, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, and general medical-surgical conditions
  • Experience with isolation protocols and COVID-19 patient care in designated isolation areas
  • Competency in central line management, wound care, chest tubes, insulin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and blood product administration
