**Job Description:**
- **Location:** 12 Tower
- **Address:** 2300 Patterson Street
- **Unit Details:**
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5
- Staffing: Secretary every day, PRN techs
- **Equipment You'll Use:**
- PD Cyclers
- Welch Allyn VS Carts
- Hoyer Lift
- Broda Chairs
- Alaris IV Pumps
- **Documentation System:** Meditech
- **Scheduling Requirements:**
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block
- **Floating Policy:**
- Will float over core staff
- **Patient Experience Expectations:**
- Bedside shift report
- Safety checks q1-2h
- Focus on communication and responsiveness
- **Must Have:**
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
- **Requested Skill Set:**
- Basic patient assessments
- General care for:
- Wounds
- Tracheostomy
- Ostomy
- Drains
- Chest Tubes
- Strokes
- Seizures
- Experience with dialysis or PCA pumps (only Heparin drip)
- **Post-Op Procedures on Unit:**
- Amputations
- Ostomy
- Drains
- Chest tubes
- Oral surgeries
- Wound vacs
- **Dress Code:**
- Scrubs: Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, Ceil Blue
- **Unit Guidelines/Policies:**
- HAI prevention - CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
- Fall prevention
- DCL Lounge/Throughput
- 100% Medication Scanning, including controlled substances
- Attendance per policy
