Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00-07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Complex Medical Unit within an acute care setting
- Manage a patient assignment with ratios that vary according to need, typically 1:6
- Document patient care and clinical information using Cerner EMR
- Participate in orientation activities including completion of unit-specific modules as directed by the Nurse Educator
- Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including every-other-weekend shifts and holiday staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or valid compact multi-state RN license - must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licensure not accepted
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR required
- Must pass a basic dysrhythmia interpretation test and medication test during orientation
- 2 professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a complex medical or high-acuity inpatient unit
- Familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation in a clinical setting
