Must-Have:
Must be able to take heparin drips.
Experience in PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube care and management.
Experience in blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, and phlebotomy.
Experience in PICC line management and starting IVs.
Management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol management, and non-invasive airway management.
Experience with traumatic brain injuries, surgical drains, chest tubes, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, tracheostomy management, and wound care.
Epic documentation experience is required.
Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in a cancel and DNR.
Traveler experience is accepted for first-time travelers.
Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference.
The target patient ratios are 1:5-6.
The traveler will be assigned to every other weekend.
Contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.
Consolidation to the centralized office mid-contract may occur as needed.
Patient diagnoses include severe injury to bones, joints, or soft tissue, traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and neurological trauma/nerve damage.
Patient care may involve management of external fixators and chest tubes.
Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start in this specialty.
Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed.
All RTO must be pre-approved, and no additional RTO can be requested after signing.
