Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,903 per week in Wilmington, NC

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. Traveler will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. Target nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. 36 or 48 hours of work are accepted. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Call is required if put on a pre-scheduled shift. Floating to similar units and alternate care locations will be necessary. Travelers will be expected to work every other weekend. Contract staff may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Patients include adults and geriatrics with general medical/surgical conditions. Daily patient census is approximately 43. Special procedures include heparin drips and wound vac dressing changes. High flow oxygen utilization is common. Occasional limited short-term BiPAP with respiratory support is available. All travelers and staff are required to attend unit team meetings. Meetings are scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month and modified in November and December. Additional meetings for night shift staff will be conducted on designated Fridays. Teamwork and adherence to policies are strongly emphasized.
